Anjelah Nicole Johnson, a native of San Jose, CA, was born in 1982 to Mexican and Native American parents. She claims her family and the support they offer have been key to her success in showbiz, and as a sibling of five, her mother a sibling of eight, and her grandmother of 22, one can easily understand why. A devout Christian, Anjelah applies her faith to each and every aspect of her life.

As early as 1990, Anjelah was already on the rugged road to stardom. At the tender age of eight, she began cheerleading with Pop Warner — an organization that provides youth football and cheer/dance programs around the world — and chose to stick with her new passion all throughout high school and college. Her hard work and perseverance, in time, culminated with her hiring as a professional cheerleader by the NFL’s Oakland Raiders. During her tenure with the Raiders, she was named Rookie of the Year, was featured on ESPN’s “The Making of a Raiderette”, and even performed in Super Bowl XXXVII. Yet, despite all her newfound success, Anjelah felt she needed a change.

After completing her third year of college, the San Jose bombshell picked up shop and moved out to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Knowing that comedy was her calling, she registered for a stand-up comedy class, and before she knew it, she found herself performing stand-up all across North America in comedy clubs, churches, casinos, universities, and even for United States troops in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba! Since then, this rising star has landed herself guest roles on “Love Inc.”, FX’s Emmy & Golden Globe Award-winning cop drama, “The Shield”, and has also appeared in a myriad of advertisements of both the television and print varieties.
